Risd Quickies

RISD quickies took place over wintersession 2009 at the Rhode Island School of Design. It was a fully student organized, student-taught workshop series that gave people a quick and dirty(hence RISD quickies) intro to a topic. Quickies was created by Jen Wong, an illustration student at RISD.

I taught 3d modeling with Google Sketchup, and 3d modeling with Rhinoceros. Participating in the teaching gave me a chance to broaden my knowledge on the subject matter – and learn to adapt my teaching to different learning goals, and different vocabularies(I taught to architects, landscape architects, graphic designers, ceramicists, sculptors, and furniture designers).

After participating in 2009, I was asked to direct quickies in 2010. We will be holding workshops during wintersession – with the hopes of having a week of expanding to the community, and Brown University.
